Comet McNaught, découvert en 2009 par Robert H. McNaught, passé environ 170 millions de kilomètres de la Terre le 16 Juin 2010, alors que sur son chemin autour du Soleil. Le 2 Juillet, la comète fera son plus proche du Soleil, de passage dans les 60 millions de kilomètres de la surface.
Cette comète belle ne peut être vu au travers de puissantes jumelles ou un télescope dans le ciel du matin. Après une boucle autour du Soleil, il reviendra aux confins du système solaire depuis des centaines d'années avant de revenir.

Comet McNaught, discovered in 2009 by Robert H. McNaught, passed approximately 170 million kilometers from the Earth on 16 June 2010 while on its way around the Sun. On 2 July, the comet will make its closest approach to the Sun, passing within 60 million kilometers of the surface.
This beautiful comet can only be viewed through powerful binoculars or a telescope in the morning sky. After looping around the Sun, it will return to the outer reaches of the Solar System for hundreds of years before returning.
