A l'occasion de la visite du président français en Russie, la touche finale a été mise à 2 projets de joint-venture entre des entreprises russes et françaises. D'une part entre ISS-Reshetnev et Thales Alenia Space pour la fabrication de satellites, et entre RKK Energia et Astrium pour le développement de technologies à destination des satellites de communication et d'observation de la terre.
